These no-bake oatmeal bars are similar to our popular bliss bite cookies but simpler and healthier. This delectable delicacy makes the most of whole-grain oats while still hitting the sweet, salty, and satisfying notes.
INGREDIENTS FOR PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL BARS
There are only 5 ingredients you’ll need for these peanut butter oatmeal bars...and two of them happen to be in the recipe title! That's how easy our ultimate, no-bake Oats Bar is. We love 'em as treats or snacks--we're not too picky about which way we have 'em when they're this good :) For breakfast just oatmeal bars would be fine. But you could have these as well for breakfast.Well here's what you need for these delicacies.
Old Fashioned rolled oats: Use plain old oats only!
Peanut butter: We like natural peanut butter without additives like sugar or salt, but your favorite brand would also be fine.
Honey: The greatest warm flavour and sticky texture comes from honey. Some vegan choices are listed below..
Cinnamon: This spice provides just the proper amount of excitement ;) .
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine peanut butter and honey in a small pot. Cook and whisk over medium-low heat until completely melted and blended.
Remove from heat and stir in the oats and the chocolate chips(optional).
Spread into a greased 9-inch square pan; softly press down.
Allow it to cool at room temperature before covering and chilling for 1 hour.
